ICPROX N – The intelligent UWB switching hub

ICPROX N is the self-contained solution for precise interaction between vehicle and infrastructure. It acts as an intelligent bridge that detects approaching vehicles to the centimetre and triggers switching actions without any external PLC.

  • 4-channel relays: direct control of gate drives and signalling devices.
  • Direction detection: intelligent gate control that only reacts to an actual pass-through.
  • Self-contained system: works without central server infrastructure or Wi-Fi.

Technical details

Spots secure specific danger points – junctions, aisle exits, blind corners. When a vehicle enters a spot’s radius, its reduction level is raised by one (+1 logic). As soon as it leaves the radius, the previous level is restored automatically.

Gates define the base safety level of an area. Driving through a gate – at a hall entrance or exit, for example – automatically sets the base reduction level, which then applies throughout that area until the next zone.

The two principles combine additively for maximum safety. Example: inside a hall entered at gate level 1, an additional spot raises the vehicle by one more level for as long as it stays within the spot’s radius. Where several gates are involved, the nearest module takes priority.

ICPROX P – Active accident prevention, tailored to your site

Wherever people and machines work side by side in tight spaces, ICPROX P creates a dynamic protection zone. Its UWB technology penetrates obstacles and reliably warns the driver of people in the danger area.

  • Centimetre-accurate ranging: exact distance measurement keeps false alarms to a minimum.

Technische Details

The vehicle actively scans its surroundings using radio distance measurement. Long before a situation becomes critical, the system warns the driver and can intervene in the vehicle controls – warn, slow down, stop.

With three antennas, the vehicle covers its complete surroundings – including the sides and the blind spot. The system also knows the direction of each detected person or vehicle, enabling targeted warnings.

UWB technology measures distances at centimetre level. That precision is what keeps false alarms away – and false alarms are what destroy driver acceptance. ICPROX warns when it matters, and stays quiet when it doesn’t.

The same tag hardware can identify a person, a vehicle or an AGV. That way ICPROX also prevents collisions between forklifts and driverless transport systems.

Several configurable zones surround the vehicle – from an outer warning zone to the critical close range. Reactions scale accordingly: from visual and audible warnings up to active intervention in the vehicle controls.
