Das Dashboard zeigt nicht nur, wo sich etwas befindet. Es rechnet aus, wie effizient die Routen sind und wie lange die Flotte steht – und macht damit sichtbar, was sonst niemand sieht.
The dashboard does more than show where things are. It works out how efficient the routes are and how long the fleet stands idle – making visible what otherwise nobody sees.
Dass Heatmaps und Sankey-Diagramme überhaupt etwas taugen, liegt an der Datenlage darunter: zwanzigmal je Sekunde eine Position auf zehn Zentimeter genau. Aus groben Daten ließen sich dieselben Bilder zeichnen – sie würden nur nichts beweisen.
Heatmaps and Sankey diagrams are only worth anything because of the data beneath them: a position twenty times a second, accurate to ten centimetres. The same pictures could be drawn from coarse data – they would simply prove nothing.

Eine Position allein ändert nichts. Erst eine Regel macht daraus eine Handlung – und welche Regeln gelten, bestimmen Sie. Was sich aus Ort, Zeit und Zustand formulieren lässt, kann das System auslösen: eine Meldung, eine Sperre, einen Auftrag.
A position on its own changes nothing. Only a rule turns it into an action – and which rules apply is up to you. Whatever can be expressed in terms of place, time and state can trigger something: a message, a lock, an order.

Sind mehr als zwei Stapler in einem Bereich, lässt sich das Tor nicht öffnen – oder eine Ampel schaltet. Die Regel gilt, ohne dass jemand hinsieht.
If more than two forklifts are in one area, the gate cannot be opened – or a signal lamp switches. The rule holds whether or not anyone is watching.

An order goes out
Liegt eine Palette in einer bestimmten Zone und ist das Ziel frei, geht ein Fahrauftrag an einen Stapler – und erscheint dort auf dem E-Paper-Tag an Bord.
If a pallet sits in a defined zone and the destination is clear, a transport order goes to a forklift – and appears there on the e-paper tag on board.

Was im Haus passiert, steht Ihrem WMS, ERP oder Leitstand offen – über gängige Schnittstellen, nicht über ein Format, das nur wir lesen können.
What happens on site is available to your WMS, ERP or control room – through common interfaces, not through a format only we can read.
Die beiden Beispiele sind zwei von beliebig vielen. In der Praxis entstehen die interessanten Regeln erst, wenn jemand seinen eigenen Ablauf kennt – und dann meist solche, auf die von aussen niemand gekommen wäre.
The two examples are two out of any number. In practice the interesting rules only emerge once somebody knows their own process – and then usually ones nobody from outside would have thought of.
ICTRAC und ICPROX greifen ineinander

Wer ICPROX im Einsatz hat, fängt bei ICTRAC nicht bei null an. Karte und Ereignis-Prozessor binden vorhandene ICPROX-Geräte ein – sie liefern mit, wo sich etwas bewegt, ohne dass dafür zusätzliche Technik ans Fahrzeug kommt.
If you already run ICPROX, ICTRAC does not start from nothing. Map and event processor take in the ICPROX devices you have – they contribute to the picture of what moves where, without extra hardware on the vehicle.
Beide Systeme wachsen so ineinander, statt nebeneinander zu stehen. Was zuerst angeschafft wurde, bleibt im Einsatz.
The two systems grow into each other instead of standing side by side. Whatever was bought first stays in service.
Die Daten finden ihren Weg zum Server per vermaschtem Funk – ohne WLAN, ohne Netzwerkdose an jedem Gerät. Zu verlegen ist damit nur noch Strom.
The data find their way to the server over a meshed radio network – no Wi-Fi, no network socket at every device. The only thing left to lay is power.

Die Tags sind von Grund auf auf lange Laufzeit ausgelegt. Bis zu fünf Jahre je Batterieladung – selbst dann, wenn eine E-Paper-Anzeige mit an Bord ist.
The tags are built for long service from the ground up. Up to five years per battery charge – even with an e-paper display on board.
Das ist der Unterschied zwischen einem System, das läuft, und einem, das jemand betreuen muss. Niemand zieht einmal im Jahr eine Flotte aus dem Verkehr, um sie zu laden.
That is the difference between a system that runs and one that somebody has to look after. Nobody takes a fleet out of service once a year just to charge it.
