Ultra-Wideband misst Entfernungen auf Zentimeter statt auf Meter. Beide Module bringen den Funkchip und den Rechner dahinter schon zusammen – Sie bauen darauf auf, statt bei der Antenne anzufangen.
Ultra-wideband measures distances in centimetres rather than metres. Both modules already bring the radio chip and the processor behind it together – you build on that instead of starting at the antenna.

Mit unserer Demo-Firmware misst das radino40 DW3000 Entfernungen direkt zu UWB-fähigen Telefonen. Die Anker brauchen dafür keinerlei Konfiguration – einschalten genügt.
With our demo firmware the radino40 DW3000 measures distances directly to UWB-capable phones. The anchors need no configuration at all – switching them on is enough.

Innerhalb einer Serie sind die Module pin-zu-pin kompatibel. Das Funkprotokoll lässt sich dadurch wechseln, ohne die Leiterplatte neu zu zeichnen – und genau daran scheitern Projekte sonst am Ende.
Within a series the modules are pin-for-pin compatible. The radio protocol can therefore be changed without redrawing the circuit board – and that is exactly where projects otherwise come unstuck late in the day.
