The radino40 Programmer is used for easy programming of a radino40 module via the 6-pin connector.

The radino40 Programmer stores the last transferred firmware internally and can write it to a radino40 module again at the push of a button.

This allows it to be used as a stand-alone field updater for updating radino40 devices.

Before writing, the Programmer checks that the firmware matches the hardware of the module and, if necessary, automatically brings the module’s bootloader up to date. Writing is done at high speed. A short press of the button starts the update; holding the button for at least 3 seconds forces the update.

The firmware is stored in the Programmer with a browser tool (Chrome or Edge, in German and English, no installation required).

How it works

1. Store the firmware: connect the Programmer to the PC via Micro-USB, open the browser tool and drop the update file (.programmer.zip) into it. The tool checks the file and stores it in the Programmer.
2. Write it: plug the Programmer into the 6-pin header of the radino40 module (marking on pin 1), supply power and press the button briefly. The update runs without a PC.
3. Display: green = ready, blinks while writing. Blue = firmware stored. Red = error, the number of flashes tells the cause.
