The ICBMS system monitoring controls the individual components of your Victron-based PV system. The system monitoring already includes the Victron Cerbo GX system monitor.
The In-Circuit ICBMS extends the Cerbo with a battery management system that combines several battery blocks into one large virtual battery. This virtual battery is then displayed and managed within the Victron system.
In addition to a system bus for communication with up to 63 battery blocks, the ICBMS also provides digital inputs and relay outputs that are switched depending on the state of charge (SOC). The relays can be used, for example, to start generators when the SOC is low.

The ICBMS controls the charge and discharge current of the LiFePO4 battery blocks fully automatically, as well as the charging voltages of the battery charge controllers.
The charge state of all LiFePO4 batteries is monitored down to each individual cell, and the system is regulated so that even charging and therefore optimum service life are achieved.

The ICBMS system monitoring makes optimum ESS or off-grid operation possible. All connected Victron devices are controlled via the bus system (e.g. Victron Multiplus-II or Victron SmartSolar MPPT RS450), so that the PV battery storage units, the associated PV charge controllers and the inverters are all regulated within one system.
