The ICPROX tag makes whoever wears it visible to forklifts and AGVs: vehicles fitted with ICPROX continuously measure the distance to every tag in range — to within about ten centimetres, through racking and walls, with no camera involved. If the wearer comes too close, the vehicle reacts: warning, speed limit or stop.

The tag itself is deliberately plain: no buttons, nothing to set. It is charged, handed out, worn — and warns its wearer directly when something comes close, by vibration and a tone.

  • Ultra-wideband radio (6.5 GHz) — distances accurate to about ±10 cm
  • Works through racking, walls, dust and steam; no line of sight needed
  • Warns the wearer directly — vibration and a tone
  • Over 48 hours of continuous use on one charge
  • No controls — nothing to set, nothing to get wrong
  • No camera, no recording of personal data
