The In-Circuit radino40 DW1000 Breakout is a development board for the radino40 DW1000 radio module. Besides the module it contains a 3.3V voltage regulator, USB micro connector, 6-pin TC2030 TCX Plug-of-NailsTM SWD connector for programming and debugging, BMI160 low power IMU, LiPo/Li-Ion charging circuit, 2 buttons, 3 LEDs, UWB and Bluetooth® antenna. Most IOs of the radino40 DW1000 module are brought out on breadboard-compatible pin headers (2.54mm).

This makes the radino40 DW1000 Breakout the perfect development environment for the radino40 DW1000. The radino40 DW1000 combines an nRF52840 microcontroller from Nordic Semiconductor with the DW1000 radio chip from Qorvo. The Qorvo DW1000 device is an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) transceiver and fully IEEE802.15.4-2011 compliant. It can be operated in two-way ranging and offers an accuracy of 10cm. The UWB data rate is up to 6.8Mbps. The nRF52840 with 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 CPU with FPU, 64 MHz clock frequency, 1 MB Flash, 256 kB RAM provides plenty of computing performance and Bluetooth 5 functionality.
